Do take into consideration your experience. Those with more experience should be able to command higher wages. When negotiating your salary, make sure to point out the level of knowledge you bring to the table.

Donít forget to do your research. While online salary calculators can give you a ballpark figure, itís important to conduct an informal salary survey. Simply contact human resources offices of comparable healthcare organizations, and ask for a salary range for healthcare managers.

Do show some flexibility. Negotiation is a two-way street, so remember to give a little.

Donít discuss how much money you need to earn. Bringing personal circumstances into the picture, like how much you need to pay your mortgage, wonít win you any points with the employer. Instead, discuss your experience and knowledge.
