Preparing to write your resume. Before revamping your resume, make a list of your most impressive accomplishments. When creating this list, think about items that will set you apart from others.

Incorporate your accomplishments into the first 1-2 paragraphs of your resume. The easiest way to do this is by creating a summary section. This will catch the recruiter's attention and draw them into the rest of your resume.

Eliminate any task-related language. This language includes sentences that begin with “responsibilities include…” Instead, focus on accomplishments you've achieved; for example, processes or tactics you've implemented that made an impact on the organization.
